The Sexual Trauma and Abuse Care Center

Started in 1972 as the first rape crisis center in Kansas, The Sexual Trauma & Abuse Care Center promotes a culture of consent while providing 24/7 support to people of all ages and genders affected by sexual trauma & abuse in Douglas, Franklin, and Jefferson Counties.

SOS, Inc.

The SOS mission is to empower and advocate for those affected by sexual and domestic violence, child abuse and neglect.

Programs include: Crisis Services, CASA: Court-Appointed Special Advocate, CAC: Child Advocacy Center, CVEC: Child Visitation & Exchange Center.

A safe, supportive environment designed to help women and children cope with the effects of domestic violence in their lives. The goal is to encourage rebuilding of self-confidence. The groups meet at the same time, but in separate rooms. Call for times.

Stop Educator Sexual Abuse/Misconduct Exploitation (SESAME)

Resource of information for families of children grades K-12 who have been sexually abused by a school staff member. Aims to raise public awareness. Information and referrals, phone support, literature, advocacy, and newsletter.

Information and referrals to public or private services for children and adolescents in crisis including shelters, mental health services, sexual abuse treatment, substance abuse programs, family counseling, residential care, and adoption or foster care.
