Parkinson Foundation

To improve the quality of care for people with Parkinson’s disease through research, education and outreach.

Referrals for youth or parents regarding drugs, domestic violence, homelessness, runaways, etc. Message relays, reports of abuse, help for parents who have problems with their kids. Sponsored by Nine Line and Covenant House.

Oxalosis and Hyperoxaluria Foundation

Support and current information for patients, families, and medical professionals. Educates the public and supports research. Newsletter, referrals, phone support, pen pals, and conferences.

Pituitary Network Association

Mutual support for persons with all types of pituitary tumors, including acromegaly. Promotes early diagnosis, medical and public awareness, continued research to find a cure, newsletter, information, referrals, phone support, and support group meetings.

Raynaud’s Association

Mutual support to help cope with day-to-day activities and maintain or improve quality of life. Aims to increase awareness of the disease in the public and medical communities. Newsletter available. Optional dues ($25).

Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous

S.L.A.A. is open to anyone who knows or thinks they have a problem with sex addiction, love addiction, romantic obsession, co-dependent relationships, fantasy addiction and/or sexual, social and emotional anorexia.

Speak Easy International Foundation, Inc.

The Speak Easy International Foundation, Inc., a self-help/mutual aid group dedicated to assisting people who stutter. The organization provides a network of friendship and understanding to stutterers, and offers encouragement, motivation, and support in dealing with their disfluency.

Chapter meetings are held bi-weekly, and are chaired by individual members on a voluntary rotating basis.

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (National)

A volunteer organization working through local chapters and “Race for the Cure” events across the country, fighting to eradicate breast cancer by advancing research, education, screening, and treatment. Information by phone about breast cancer.
